A video showing Chinese engineers using a drone to install cables in a bridge construction project has proved popular on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, reports the People's Daily.

The Chishui River Mega Bridge under construction sits over a river valley in southwest China. When it opens to the public in 2019, it will link Sichuan and Guizhou provinces.

The bridge has a span of 1.2 kilometers, making it the longest bridge of its kind in Asia. In the video, first shared online by Xinhua News Agency on Tuesday, a drone carrying a two-kilometer-long cable is seen flying over the valley to connect the two main towers.

As of Saturday, the video has been liked around 580 times and had 13,500 views on Twitter, along with 306,000 views and 7,100 likes on Facebook, and 69,400 views on YouTube.

"Marvel of engineering. Impressive and respect for China from Pakistan. Mind blowing." read a comment left by XULQI MOON? (@XULQIMOON) from Pakistan.

"For Chinese no limits," wrote Paulo (@pnolasco2000) on Twitter.
