President Donald Trump is back at the White House Tuesday following his controversial summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin during which he questioned American intelligence findings on Russian election meddling. His performance was assailed by some Republicans as shameful, disgraceful and weak.

Federal authorities arrested a Russian woman accused of conspiring to infiltrate American political organizations at the direction of a Senior Kremlin official. Maria Butina was arrested on a charge of conspiracy to act as an unregistered Russian agent.

Hawaii tour boat operators are promising to stay further away from an erupting volcano. But they say they'll still take tourists to see it. 23 people were hurt Monday when an explosion caused molten rock to barrel through the roof of a vessel.

And former President Barack Obama has been greeted with cheers and fanfare in South Africa as he is said to make his highest-profile speech since leaving office. Obama will urge people around the world to respect human rights in an address marking the 100th anniversary of Nelson Mandela's birth.
