A man accused of murdering a California police officer appeared in court, but did not enter a plea. Guistavo Perez Arriaga is also accused of living in the US illegally. The case is suspended until he gets some mental evaluation.

A Greyhound bus overturned on an interstate entry ramp in Jackson, Mississippi. 22 people were taken into hospitals, but there were no serious injuries.
