1. University of South Carolina officials say the school is doing what it can for the teachers and friends of the victims of a deadly beach house fire.Six of the seven college students killed in Sunday's fire were South Carolina students. The other was from Clemson.

2. Brigadier General Jeffrey Dorko was in stable condition after being injured by a roadside bomb in northern Baghdad.Dorko was evacuated to a US military hospital in Germany.The general is the highest-ranking American officer to be hurt since the conflict began in March 2003.

3.Officials in the Dominican Republic say at least eight people have died in the fierce thunderstorms and flooding brought by Tropical Storm Noel.At least three others are missing.Forecasters say the storm could drop another 20 inches of rain before heading northwest toward the Bahamas.

4.And watch as this man earns a spot in the Guinness World Book of Records.He is pulling a 17,000-pound military helicopter with,that's right,his left ear.The 27-year-old former wrestling champion from Georgia pulled the chopper more than 28 yards on his 3rd try.
