Big Toys and a Sandbox for Grown-Ups at Las Vegas Attraction

This part of Las Vegas is not mentioned in popular guidebooks.

It looks more like an industrial zone.

But locals and tourists come here for an unusual experience and to have some fun.

A chance to operate huge bulldozers and hydraulic excavators and a big sandbox for grown-ups, New Zealander Ed Mumm came up with the idea and opened “Dig This”.

I never really grew up out of my old sandbox, I always had a curiosity and a fascination for a heavy equipment.

It’s not just guys who are lured by the chance to play this grown-up sandbox, says Mumm.

Since Dig This opened in 2007, Mumm says business has been steady and he hopes one day to open similar venues in other parts of the world.
