New hurricane warnings and watches have been issued for as far north as eastern Canada as hurricane Dorian crawls up the east coast. The storm is moving away from North Carolina's coast after making landfall Friday morning on the outer banks.

Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said Friday that the FED is not expecting a US or global recession. But it is monitoring a number of uncertainties, including trade conflicts, and will "act as appropriate to sustain the expansion."
