A new fire broke out and quickly spread on ridgetops in Ventura County, north of Los Angeles Thursday night. Authorities say the flames threaten hundreds of structures, and thousands of people were told to evacuate.

A former top White House official testified to House impeachment investigatiers that he saw nothing illegal in President Trump's phone call with Ukraine's President. The House of Representatives approved an impeachment process rules package on Thursday.

North Korea says it tested what it calls it's new, "super-large multiple rocket launcher for a third time. Japan and South Korea had reported detecting a pair of projectiles launched from North Korea landing off that country's coast.

And Chicago police say 7-year-old girl was critically iniured after she was shot while Trick-or-Treating. Police say it appears shots were fired by a group of males who were chasing another male.
