After sitting out the bidding for 2020, the U.S. will try again to host the Olympics.

在放弃2020年奥运会后,美国即将再一次尝试申办。

“Our board voted unanimously today to move forward with a bid from the United States for the 2024 summer Olympic Games.”

Two-time host Los Angeles is bidding; as are Boston, San Francisco and Washington.

举办过2届奥运会的洛杉矶可以进行申请;波士顿、旧金山和华盛顿也具备条件。

But, only one U.S. candidate can be submitted.

但是,美国只可以提交一座候选城市。

“We have not yet reached a decision on which city we're going to put forward.”

That decision perhaps next month will determine the city that goes against Rome, a German candidate and maybe Paris.

The final choice comes in two-and-a-half years.
