Can you name the Vice President of the United States?

Or, who was President during World War II?

Students in Arizona better know those answers.

Arizona is the first state in the nation to enact a law requiring high school students to pass a U.S. citizenship civics test.

Students must correctly answer 60 out of 100 questions to earn a high school diploma or GED.

Supporters say the civics test is necessary, because students don't know enough about basic government-while critics argue the test focuses on memorization instead of engaging in civics education.
