The BBC will follow up 'Planet Earth II' with another season of 'Blue Planet.' Sir David Attenborough will narrate the series, which is set to debut later in 2017.

The 7-episode series returns to the world's oceans with new footage captured in the past four years. "Blue Planet 2" will showcase new sea creatures and phenomena captured with new camera technology, ranging from the polar seas to the ocean depths.

In a BBC statement Sir David Attenborough said "I am truly thrilled to be joining this new exploration of the underwater worlds which cover most of our planet, yet are still its least known".
