Emergency services and volunteers began clearing damage in Minneapolis on Saturday after violent unrest the previous night saw businesses left burnt out and ransacked. Protesters ignored a curfew in the city on Friday and took to the streets for the fourth consecutive night, amid anger stoked by the death of George Floyd in police custody.

Two NASA astronauhts on Saturday launched off for a history-making ride into orbit aboard a rocket ship designed and bulit by Elon Musk's SpaceX company. It is the first launch of astronauts into orbit by a private company.
