Julian Assange has been dramatically arrested and bundled into court after Ecuador terminated his political asylum, after seven years. The Wikileaks founder has been found guilty in a London court of skipping bail. American prosecutors have charged Mr Assange with conspiracy. And the US Justice Department says if Mr Assange is found guilty, he faces a maximum five years in jail. Austrlia's foreign minister, Marise Payne says the 47-year old will continue to receive consular support from the federal government.

Court documents have revealed that actor Geoffrey Rush is seeking more than 25-million dollars in damages following his defamation win yesterday. Mr Rush won his case against the Daily Telegraph with the judge finding the articles were sensationalist journalism of the worst kind. Initial damages of 850-thousand dollars were awarded, but an amount for lost income will be decided at a later date.

The Israeli Lunar lander Beresheet was scheduled to land on the moon this morning, but suffered an engine failure and lost communication during landing. The mission has cost around 100 million dollars.
