One of the world's leading privacy experts is wanted over alleged child sex crimes in Australia. New South Wales police say they've sought help from Interpol to try to find Simon Davies, the founder of the group, Privacy International. A global arrest warrant has been issued for the 63-year old data security expert.

Most states and territories are forecast to see a fall in power prices over the next three years. The Australian Energy Market Commission says increasing supplies of renewable energy will drive the fall. Queensland is set to benefit most while the Northern Territory and Western Australia will miss out.

Disturbing pictures have emerged showing malnourished Australian cattle sold to the Indonesian government. The cattle were purchased under a program to boost breeding and were expected to live for up to 20 years. But a government-funded review found three per cent of the cattle exported in late 2018 — were dead by June this year.

Cricket Australia has assured fans and players it doesn't expect any problems with the MCG pitch for the Boxing Day test. A Sheffield Shield match between Victoria and Western Australia had to be abandoned because the pitch was over-watered. But Cricket Australia's head of cricket operations Peter Roach says there was no problem with the pitch for the previous two Shield games.
