In my opinion, every student should do a part-time job or apply for a summer intern before graduation.

在我看来,每位学生毕业前都应找份兼职工作或申请暑期实习。

During the intern, we can learn a lot of things much more practical than what we learn in school.

在实习过程中,我们可以学到很多比在学校所学更为实用东西。

For example, a student of finance will put in much effort in math while studying in school,

比如在学校学习时学生的数学会对所学的金融有所帮助,

but during the intern he/she will find the math formulas do very little help.

但是在实习期间会发现数学公式起不到什么作用。

Besides, we can check if we are really fit for the job we dreamed.

此外,我们可以看看自己是否真的适合梦想的职业。

Take me for instance, I dreamed to be a salesgirl in the supermarket when I was still a child.

以我为例,孩提时代的自己曾梦想当一名超市的售货员。

But when I really worked as a salesgirl as my summer intern I found the work was tedious.

但是,当我暑期实习真的从事售货员这一职业,我发现这份工作很乏味。
