French President Emmanuel Macron said Tuesday that while he sees a path towards de-escalating the situation, it could take months to resolve the crisis stemming from Russia amassing a 130,000 troops and equipment along its border with Ukraine.

法国总统埃马纽埃尔·马克龙周二表示，虽然他发现了缓和局势的途径，但可能需要数月时间才能解决俄罗斯在其与乌克兰边境集结13万名士兵以及装备所引发的危机。

Macron spoke with reporters in Kyiv following meetings with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy a day after lengthy talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

马克龙在基辅与乌克兰总统弗拉基米尔·泽伦斯基会晤后对记者发表了上述讲话。一天前，马克龙在莫斯科与俄罗斯总统普京进行了长时间的会谈。

Macron said "You must not underestimate the tension that surrounds the situation that we are living through, and its unprecedented nature."

He said he did not believe this crisis could be solved in a few hours of discussions.

But the French leader did say his discussions with Putin would help ensure that no further escalation of the standoff between Russia and Ukraine and the Western alliance supporting the Kyiv government would happen.

Following the meeting with Zelenskyy, Macron said he believes "there are concrete, practical solutions that will allow us to move forward" but the crisis is not over.

Earlier Tuesday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said there were "seeds of reason" in proposals Macron had made to Putin.

Peskov rejected suggestions the crisis had been resolved, saying "So far, we don't see and feel the readiness of our Western counterparts to take our concerns into account."

NATO has rejected Moscow's demands to end its expansion into Eastern Europe near Russia and eliminate the possibility of Ukraine, a one-time Soviet republic, from joining NATO.

北约拒绝了莫斯科的要求，即停止向俄罗斯附近的东欧地区扩张，并根除曾经的苏联共和国乌克兰加入北约的可能性。

The West says it is willing to negotiate over the positioning of missiles in Eastern Europe and NATO troop maneuvers.

Meanwhile as the French and Ukrainian leaders met in Kyiv, foreign ministers from Austria, Czech Republic and Slovakia joined their Ukrainian counterpart in Kyiv to express their support and solidarity regarding Moscow's military buildup in the area.

与此同时，就在法国和乌克兰领导人在基辅会晤时，来自奥地利、捷克共和国和斯洛伐克的外长与乌克兰外长于基辅会面，就俄罗斯在该地区进行军事集结一事表达了他们对乌克兰的支持和声援。

At the Joint news conference following the meeting, Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg said security for Ukraine is our security.
