1. American Airlines says it cancelled more than 1,000 flights just today. The airline says it's still inspecting the wiring on some of its jets. Added to yesterday's cancellations, that could bring the two-day total to around 1,500 lost flights.

2. An Iraqi judicial committee has dismissed terrorism-related allegations against Associated Press photographer Bilal Hussein. Hussein has been in US military custody for nearly two years.

3. DC's transit authority released this promotional video featuring a Pope Benedict bobblehead toy. The clip was quickly yanked from YouTube, because the Catholic Archdiocese says the toy pontiff was not wearing authentic attire.
