1. Officials in Madrid say 149 people were killed today when the airline they were on crashed during take-off. They say the plane sped off the end of the runway where it crashed, burned and broke into several pieces. Twenty-six people though did survive.

2. Democratic Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones remains hospitalized in critical condition after suffering a brain hemorrhage. Doctors say the 58-year-old has limited brain function and friends are asking for people to pray for her.

3. Tropical Storm Fay continues to drench Central Florida as it sits stalled on the state's east coast. Forecasters say Fay could dump 30 inches of rain in some areas and has already flooded hundreds of homes.

4. Lightning has struck again at the Olympics. Jamaican Usain Bolt sprinted to a second gold at the Games, winning the 200-meter dash in a world record time of 19.30 seconds. He is the first person to set the world record in both the 100 and 200 at the same Games.
