I. The Olympic torch round looked like a game of cat and mouse, less like a celebration of the Olympic spirit. The route of the heavily guarded torch was changed in San Francisco Wednesday and the closing ceremony was moved all due to security concerns.

II. The search is over at the West Texas polygamist compound built by Warren Jeffs. Still no sign of the young girl whose abuse complaint triggered the raids. Authorities have file documents in the case alleging that girls as young as 12 or 13 were married to older men and then required to have sex in the compound soaring white temple.

III. More travel woes seem likely for American airlines’ customers. The carrier says it expects to cancel hundreds of flights Thursday and perhaps more Friday. The problem? Potentially faulty wiring on MD80 jetliners.

IV. Hillary Clinton’s White House fare is getting a boost from a Brit. British pop star Elton John helped raise 2.5 million dollar for her campaign at a benefit concert at radio city musical hall.
