1. The ATF says it has broken up a plot to assassinate Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and shoot or decapitate 102 black people in a Tennessee murder spree. In court records, agents say they disrupt plans by two neo-Nazi skinheads to rob a gun store and target an unnamed but predominantly African-American high school.

2. A federal jury has found Alaska Senator Ted Stevens guilty of all seven charges in his corruption trial. He was charged with lying about free home renovations and other gifts he received. The verdict throws more uncertainty into the Republican rocky re-election bid.

3. The FBI says a body found in an SUV in Chicago was believed to be that of actress Jennifer Hudson’s missing nephew. The body has not been positively identified. But it was found this morning in the back seat of an SUV that matched the description of a vehicle authorities have been seeking.

4. An eight-year-old boy died after accidentally shooting himself in the head while firing an Uzi submachine gun under adult supervision at a gun fair in Massachusetts. The boy lost control of the weapon while firing it at a firearms expo. Police say the boy was with a certified instructor and call the incident a "self-inflicted accidental shooting".
