3. Detroit's Big Three are getting an additional three-billion-dollar bailout from Canada. The auto industry employs 150,000 Canadians and represents 14% of Canada's manufacturing output. Canada's prime minister said they want to do their part to ensure North American automakers stay going.

4. Divers rescued a humpback whale off the coast of Acapulco, Mexico. The adult male was tangled in fishing nets about a mile out to sea. Divers think the whale may have been tangled there for up to two months.
