1. President Barack Obama hasn't been on the job long, but a new poll reports about two-thirds approve of what he is doing. The Gallup Organization says 68% of Americans surveyed approve of Obama's first three full days as chief executive.

2. Pakistan is urging President Barack Obama to halt US missile strikes on al-Qaeda strongholds near the Afghan border. A foreign ministry statement says civilians were killed yesterday in the first attack since he took office.

3. Four children were killed when part of a sports center collapsed in high winds Saturday in northern Spain. Sixteen others were injured in the incident which took place as the kids were getting ready to play baseball.

4. A college sports legend has died. Kay Yow, who had been battling breast cancer for years, passed away on Saturday. She coached the women's Olympic team to gold in 1988 and compiled more than 700 wins in the college ranks, mostly with NC State.
