  美国人的逻辑

Americans are very informal. They greet each other informally. When they see dose friends, teachers ,or someone they know only by sight, they are likely to say"Hi" in all cases. This doesn't mean they have no more regard for friends than for unfamiliar people. It only means "Hi" serves as a greeting for people.

But some Americans often expect people from other countries to be very formal if they are polite people. So,an American may be shocked if a foreigner is very informal with him or her.Sometimes it is difficult to know what to do!

  介绍与打招呼

Do you know the difference between greeetings and introductions? Let me tell you.Whenever you say hell to someone ,whether you are already good friends with them or not, that is a greeting.Usually we greet people many times a day.But when you don't know someone, and you first learn that person's name and something about him, that is called an introduction. So usually all introductions are greetings, but not all greetings are introductions.
