[00:11.31]When tough situations arise, [00:13.40]they often pout and complain. [00:15.68]How you live your teen years will have a profound impact [00:19.18]on the rest of your life. [00:20.39]You must learn to utilize your time wisely. [00:23.02]You may not see it now, [00:24.76]but developing leadership characteristics [00:27.29]at a young age is very important. [00:29.24]As we get older, [00:30.56]it becomes harder to overcome bad habits [00:33.64]and replace them with good ones. [00:35.15]Possessing leadership qualities is essential, [00:38.22]both in this life and in the world to come. [00:41.25]There are certain qualities that one needs to develop [00:44.45]in order to become a leader: [00:45.84]justice, judgment, dependability, [00:48.71]initiative, decisiveness, tact, integrity, [00:52.96]enthusiasm, poise, unselfishness, [00:56.90]courage, knowledge and loyalty. [01:40.00]Understand that learning is a fact of life— [01:43.16]learning to ride a bike, learning to drive, [01:45.69]learning to type, learning mathematics, etc. [01:48.41]All of these activities require action. [01:50.94]While we are born with many different abilities, [01:53.88]if we do not harness and develop them, [01:56.08]those abilities will never come to fruition. [01:58.36]Youth is an excellent time to start developing leadership traits. [02:02.73]Take the time to study each one in detail. [02:05.59]Put them into practice as you interact with other people. [02:08.87]Determine which areas you are weak in, [02:11.50]striving to always improve. [02:13.12]Observe the leaders, [02:14.77]and how they handle situations and carry themselves. [02:18.27]Also, study the lives of great leaders. [02:21.23]The results will serve you in this life—and beyond! |
