Hello to you, I’m Creshon Saunders  at the cnn.com newsroom in Atlanta. Here is a look at what’s happening NOW IN THE NEWS.

It’s picture day for the world leaders and attendees of the APEC summit. In Peruvian fashion, leaders wore shirts given to them by their Peruvian hosts. But serious work was done, leaders confidently announced the global recession would recede in about 18 months. President Bush also met with Peru’s president, talking on free trade. The summit is expected to be the president’s final trip abroad as the leader of the US.

The Interior Ministry of Georgia says shots were fired at a motorcade with the presidents of Georgia and Poland inside. It happened as the vehicles passed a military checkpoint near the South Ossetia region of Georgia. The motorcade was not hit and there were no injuries. The shots reportedly came from Russian-controlled territory. No other shooting was reported.

Three people were shot and wounded earlier today inside the main door of St.Thormas Church in Clifton, New Jersey. A church member tells CNN the shooting was the result of an apparent domestic dispute between a female church visitor and her estranged husband.

The wait is finally over, folks. 17 years after the release of their last collection of All New Material, Guns N’ Roses, Chinese Democracy hits the stories today in the US. The CD was sidelined by a long list of delays and several changes of the band’s lineup. Today, the only original member of Guns N’ Roses is front man Axcel Rose, and get this, the makers of Doctor Paper had promised a few months back to give everyone a free soft drink if Chinese Democracy came out before the end of the year while the company says it plans to make good on their promise.

From music to movies now, “Vampires” ruled at the box office this weekend, “Twilight” sucked in an estimated 70.6 million dollars to take the top spot. The James Bond’s flick “Quantum of Solace” slipped to second with 27.4 million. And the latest animated feature from Disney entitled “Bolt” came in a disappointing third with 27 million, that’s 10 million below expectations.

Those are the headlines at this hour. For more on these stories and other news of the day, CNN is your source, on line, on TV even when you're on the go.
