2.In the case of a Boston medical student charged with killing one masseuse who advertised on Craigslist and robbing another. A law enforcement source says items belonging to the victims were found in Philip Markoff's apartment.

3.A supplement likely killed 21 horses before a polo match in Florida. A member of the Venezuelan team says the drug is often given to horses but was likely tainted at the lab. Five horses who did not get the drug are fine.

4.Lava keeps flowing from a volcano in the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador. The volcano started spewing lava, gas, and smoke on this uninhabited island after four years of silence.
