1.South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford says he's been having an affair with a woman from Argentina. He also announced during a press conference he will resign as head of the Republican Governors’ Association. The married father of four says he met the woman about eight years ago and then became romantic about a year ago.

2.A bomb ripped through a crowded market place in Bagdad in Sadr City district, killing at least 69 people. More than 100 others were hurt in the blast during the evening shopping crush. An hour later two roadside bombs exploded in predominately Shiite neighborhoods of Bagdad.

3.Police have charged a 24-year-old former player in the fatal shooting of a prominent Iowa high school football coach. Coach Ed Thomas was shot several times in the school's weight room.

4.Elisabeth Hasselbeck says a claim that she plagiarized parts of her best-selling diet book is "without merit". "The View" co-host defended her book on "Today Show".
