1. Former New York Giant Plaxico Burress is testifying before a grand jury this morning. Burress shot himself in the thigh at a Manhattan nightclub last November and could face more than three years in prison if convicted on the weapons charge. The former wide receiver has pleaded not guilty and is freed on 100,000 dollars bail.

2. Once again, President Barack Obama is taking his pitch for health care reform to the voters. He's holding two town hall-style meetings today. One at a North Carolina school, the other at a Virginia grocery store.

3. A car bomb destroyed a police barracks for officers and their families in northern Spain. About 60 people were injured in the explosion. Officials blamed the Basque separatist group ETA for the attack. There is no word on whether ETA is taking responsibility for the bombing.

4. The West Coast is battling a heat wave. Las Vegas is setting temperature records. Forecasters issued an excessive heat warning for parts of Washington State. They say West Coast residents should expect brutal temperatures.
