1. Senator Max Baucus has unveiled his much-awaited ten-year 856-billion-dollar health care bill. That's after months of bipartisan negotiations that failed to win Republican support. White House is calling the plan “an important building block” and “getting closer to comprehensive health care reform”.

2. Authorities in Connecticut say Yale graduate student Annie Le died from traumatic asphyxiation. Police have taken DNA samples from a lab technician who's been described as a person of interest in the case. They hope to figure out within days whether Raymond Clark can be ruled out as the killer.

3. There apparently won't be a decision any time soon on whether to send more US troops to Afghanistan. President Barack Obama says the decision is going to take time. That's after his top military adviser endorsed an increase in US forces, saying it will probably be necessary.

4. And making its debut at New York Fashion Week, the blanket with sleeves, better known as the snuggie. Models showed off new colors and styles, and yes, snuggies are available for dogs too.
