1. A blast has rocked Afghanistan’s capital, killing at least ten civilians and six Italian soldiers. Authorities in Kabul also say dozens of people were wounded. The blast happened near the US Embassy and an American military base. The Taliban has claimed responsibility.

 2. Police in Connecticut say they expect to make an arrest anytime now in the killing of Yale graduate student Annie Le. Lab tech Raymond Clark has been named the "person of interest" in the case. He’s believed to be staying in a hotel north of New Haven that police have been watching.

 3. Investigators say they found a bone fragment on the property of the northern California couple charged with kidnapping a girl then hiding her in the backyard for 18 years. The fragment was found while authorities were scouring Phillip and Nancy Garrido's property. The Garridos already have been charged with kidnapping Jaycee Dugard back in 1991.

 4. The White House says a health care reform bill from a key Senate committee is "an important building block" in getting closer to comprehensive health care reform. Democratic Senator Max Baucus released his version of the bill after failing to win any Republican support.
