1.Senate Democratic  Leader  Harry Reid says liberals and  moderates have reached a broad agreement on the government-run option in the Senate's Health Care Plan. Officials say it would be dropped in favor of a private insurance arrangement supervised by a federal agency. Medicare also would be expanded, offer to uninsured people  over 55.

2.The race to fill Senator Ted Kennedy's  Senate seat is now between the Massachusetts Attorney General and the State Senator. AG Martha Coakley won the Democratic nomination in yesterday's primary, while State Senator Scott Brown got the GOP nom.

3.The winter storm that’s roaring through the midsection of America is now blamed for at least five deaths. More than a dozen states have been hammered by a wintery mix over the past couple of days. Upstate New York expects three feet of snow by the end of the week.

4.The Iraqi Parliament wants security officials to appear before a special session to answer  questions about yesterday's  deadly bombings. The coordinated attacks killed at least 127 people . It was the third large-scale attack against parliament government buildings in Baghdad since August.
