... in the Homebase here, is the climate backer Harrison Ford, passionate about the planet. And here this morning because it’s climate week. And there is a new project called “Team Earth”, uniting businesses, non-profits, ordinary citizens who wanna join in the pressing environmental issues, because the UN is gathering here right now, so that’s a good occasion to have a climate week and also December Copenhagen a big meeting then.”

“A big meeting while all the world leaders …uh..uh…it's the time to come together and make an effort to make people understand that we require, not just here in the United States but throughout the world, meaningful climate legislation from all over our leadership.”

“And there are a lot of people who think these are the months that must be done, we have to address what we're going to do if we are going to do something?”

“Right, so we’re launching an effort - a collective action compaign that we call “Team Earth” . and it includes everybody. You are all on Team Earth. By the way, you are born onto it, but now we gotta get everybody off the bench into the big game. We need to come together to create solutions to the pressing environmental issues that face us deforestation, food security, clean water, relief from the waste that we generate, better energy policies. And we need, what's happened to it is, the environmental movement so far has failed to motivate the great, you know, masses of people.”

“Right, we certainly get legislation moving around the world, yeah.”

“It just hasn't worked, because we've, so far presented us arguments on issue by issue, bases on species by species. .. uh..bases…. we have got a fractured message.”

So is it the plan here with Team Earth to come to put everything together, and give everybody one focused goal?

“Whereas to present a series of strategies to confront the issues. We're gonna put together a panel of scientists that help us create strategies that focus on fuel, food, water and rainforest, issues that I talked about, and find ways to measure and quantify the effect of various strategies might have, and then to measure our results when we employ these strategies.”

“You also try to use the awareness, right? We have a clip of the public services announcement doing a new address on deforestation and showing the impact on that. Let's take a look. Look at that.”

"Great."

When rainforest gets slashed and burned, it releases tons of carbon into the air we breathe. It changes our climate. It hurts every bit of rainforest that gets ripped out over there, really hurts us over here.

You've so...

You know I've made announcement with my clothes on before, you know why, yeah.

But you've said it's time for us to get off the bench, what can we do, could you see the response people want to take part?

Our first ambition is to get a million people to go to TEAMEARTH.com (okay), which we're just launching, and to, and by their presence there, by their signatures there, we want to create a coalition of, people concerned about environmental issues and we want to be able for our world leaders and, to be able to know there are a million people there ready.

TEAM EARTH, sign up, go to ABCNews.com, find it and thank you Harrison.
