1. The Transportation Security of Administration says airline passengers arriving in the US from certain counties will now be subjected to an enhanced screening technics including 4 body scans and pack downs. The measures were imposed after a Nigerian man allegedly tried to set off an explosive device on a flight from Amsterdam to Detroit.

2. Five Americans suspected to the ploting attacks in Pakistan that appeared in court denying they planed to carry out terrorist attacks. The five all from Washington DC area were arrested in Pakistan in December. Police plan to charge the men of terrorisim and seek life sentences against them.

3. Bitter cold temperatures continued to tapping the grip on the east coast. The National Weather Service has not declare pressure system will keep temperatures 15 to 20 degrees below normal. Farmers in Florida are concerned about losing part of their citrus crops.

4. The world's tallest skyscraper is being unveiled today in Dubai. The building reportedly stands more than 2600 feet tall and cost 1.5 billion dollars to build. The official height of the building will not be announced until tonight's inauguration ceremony.
