1. Fears of unrest have been growing in Haiti but survivors of Tuesday's earthquake are beginning to get relief supplies. Hundreds of US troops have arrived in the capital, where they've been helping distribute food and water. Meanwhile, workers have been burying thousands of bodies in mass graves.

2. President Barack Obama says the scale of devastation in Haiti is "extraordinary". He's promising an expansive and long-term effort to help the country rebuild. He'll meet with former presidents, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton who will lead private fund-raising efforts.

3. Defense Secretary Robert Gates says an investigation into the Fort Hood shootings found the military is not sufficiently prepared to prevent similar attacks. Gates says an internal Pentagon policy review stemming from last November's massacre "raises serious questions".

4. And travel is a real hassle for an eight-year Cub Scout from New Jersey. Mikey Hicks shares the same name of a person who has drawn the suspicion of the Homeland Security Department. His mother has been asking the TSA for years to cut Mikey a break.
