1. Authorities say an Ethiopian Airlines jet was in flames before it plunged into the Mediterranean Sea minutes after takeoff. It had 90 people on board when it left Beirut Airport Monday. The cause of the crash is not known, although terrorism is not suspected. Lebanon has been slammed by stormy weather for days.

2. Officials from around the world are meeting today in Montreal to discuss ways to better coordinate relief efforts in Haiti. Truckers filling Haiti's mass graves are reporting higher numbers than first expected. One official says more than 150,000 quake victims have been buried by the government. It also takes responsibility for the failed attempt to bomb a US airliner on Christmas Day. US officials have not been able to authenticate that the voice on the tape is that of bin Laden.

4. The match-up for Super Bowl 44 in Miami is now set. The Indianapolis Colts defeated the New York Jets to reach their second Super Bowl in four years, while it'll be the first trip ever to the Super Bowl for the New Orleans Saints. The Saints beat the Minnesota Vikings in overtime. Las Vegas has put the Colts as four-point favorites.
