The evacuation fatigue has set in, I know, with a lot of people. But as one who has toured the facility, the area and seen the devastation of the homes, you must evacuate. Only 50% of those who have been told to evacuate have evacuated at this time, the other 50% must evacuate. Look at your neighbors' homes. Look what happened. And there's no way you can evacuate once the flash flooding occurs - when the boulders and the timber and the water comes rushing down, you'll be crushed or killed.

Please evacuate now, those with children especially. And we have evacuation centers that are in place, and is encouraging you to be aware and it's better to save your life than to be a casualty or endanger a public safety personnel who need to be protecting others, having to go rescue somebody who ends up staying in their home and then that mudslide comes in and crushes them.

We are working with our state and federal officials to open up additional debris disposal sites. The governor was here and he pledged and supported, along with Congressman David Dreier, that they will move both the state and the federal government to open up that fourth site, so that we can dispose of the mud that's coming out right now.
