[00:21.75]is also called "Guo Nian".
[00:24.46]This means 'keeping the Nian monster away'.
[00:28.32]Thousands of years ago,people in China believed
[00:31.46]that there was an enormous monster.
[00:34.35]It lived in the mountains.
[00:36.46]This monster was called'Nian'
[00:39.01]and it ate humans and animals.
[00:42.21]In the winter,Nian usually went to the villages
[00:45.58]to look for food because it could not find food
