1. The Coast Guard says an oil platform that suffered a massive explosion two days ago has sunk in the Gulf of Mexico. It's been burning since the explosion. And officials say it went down this afternoon. Meantime, the search continues for 11 workers missing since the explosion.

2. Tens of thousands of planes are taking off and landing in Europe today. There's a massive backlog of stranded passengers following last week's volcanic eruption in Iceland. Today's flights are expected to make a small dent in clearing that up.

3. Members of Congress are going to have to get by next year without any extra money. The Senate has passed a bill eliminating a planned $1,600 raise. Still, they are making at least $174,000 a year.

4. March Madness is getting a little bigger. The NCAA is ready to increase the size in the basketball field from 65 teams to 68. It's all part of a new television bill to be voted on next week.
