1. Presdient Barack Obama offered words of prays for vicitims of the worst US mining disaster in the generation, and pledged to their families to change industry safety standards. The president's remarks came during a memorial service for the 29 killed in the West Virginia coal mine earlier this month.

2. One day after a deadly tornado touched down in Mississippi. Governor Hilly Barbour says more than 125 homes  are unliveable.Barbour says it will be days before state officials are able to give a final  tally of exactly  how much damage was done. At least ten people died in Saturday's twister.

3. For a second consecutive day, the coast guard has delayed the cleaning-up an oily mess south of Louisiana coast  because of tide cease. The spill started nearly a week ago after a massive explosion aboard an offshore oil way  .

4. The World Bank is to agree dramaticly increase the voting power of developing nations, putting China in the lending groups number three spot. China has been pushing for a bigger stay  in International Organizations, 3 reflect its growing  importance  in the global economy.
