万花筒 2008-11-12&11-13 一百美元买座房!(在线收听

Do you know? When I bought this bag for about 100 dollars, I thought pretty good deal. That was until I realized I could own this entire home for the same price. 100 bucks and it’s yours.

“This is the little kitchen with the little dinette. I used to use it as a sunroom. But we are kinda getting ready to move.”

Four bedrooms, 2 baths, 1,500 square feet, lake access in Waterford, all for the rock bottom price of just 100 dollars.

“It’s been up for sale for a couple of years, you know, and you get offers for half. Well, somebody wants to sell it for half, let them win it, and they can sell it for half, put the money in their pocket"

Joe and Penelope VanDevelder have lived here for 18 years. They've tried for the last two to sell their house with no luck. Then one day Joe had an idea--raffle the house off.

“And I came home from work, and he said like "I have this idea" and I just laughed. I thought, you have to be out of your mind. Nobody can raffle their house. He said "I will make it work". And he did and here we are.”

Each ticket is 100 dollars and they are on sale right now. They are hoping to sell about 2,500. And so far the response has been overwhelming.

“Our Phones start ringing like crazy. We are really glad. We hope somebody that really needs it wins.”
