In today's Tech Bytes, let's look at some of the new technology that could be coming to your car.Ford unveiled an 8-inch touch-screen dashboard at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

MyFord Touch centralizes navigation, temperature control and audio options. Ford is also adding Internet radio and Twitter to its Sync in car entertainment service. Now this type of technology raises a series of concerns but Ford claims the voice-activated system helps drivers keep their eyes on the road.

Upgraded versions of the two newest Palm phones are coming to Verizon. Palm announces the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus at the gadget show. Both phones have unique feature. Users can create a mobile hotspot capable of sharing Verizon's network with up to five WiFi-enabled devices. The smart phones will also be able to record video. They go on sale January 25th.

While the pocket-sized Flip changed the way we think about video cameras , now the company faces stiff competition. Sony’s newest pocket camera is called the Bloggie. CNET's Dan Ackerman filed this review from the gadget show in Las Vegas.

There's a bunch of things we really like about this new version,it has a 5x optical zoom, so you can zoom in without degrading the image quality and unlike a lot of the flip cams. It's got its own little flip out screen like this. And of course the resolution is really high, it's 1920*1080. That's a lot higher than a lot of the Flip cams that top out at 720. One thing we didn't like so much, you have to actually take your own memory card and put it in here. It doesn't have a lot on board memory and obviously HD video take up a lot of space. And the camera costs about 200 dollars.

Finally a solution for anyone who likes reading in the bath tub in the age of the electronic book reader. The Guardian case is a waterproof case for the Kindle. It even floats,so users can read hands free. The Guardian case will be available this spring in six different colors.
