An explosion has rocked an abandoned bungalow¹ in Central China’s Hunan province, killing² six people.

The incident took place Sunday morning. The site is suspected to be an illegal firework workshop. One of the victims died when a house neighbouring the workshop collapsed³. Rescue work and an investigation⁴ are underway, and people in charge of the workshop have been detained by police.
