A new play, "Betrayed," has again drawn² attention to the plight³ of Iraqis who have worked for the U.S. in Iraq. The play by author and journalist George Packer grew out of an article he published last year in the New Yorker magazine. It documented how many Iraqis who have worked for the U.S. have been threatened and murdered by insurgents⁴ and militias⁵ -- and largely feel abandoned by their former American employers.
