A U.S. defense¹ contractor² unveiled an anti-missile system this week that it claims worked properly on commercial cargo³ planes. Such high-tech⁴ devices, in the future, could save a plane full of passengers from shoulder-launched heat seeking missiles, if airlines deploy⁵ such systems. Northrop Grumman showed off its Guardian⁶ System Wednesday outside (the northeastern U.S. city of) Baltimore, Maryland. (Linthicum, Maryland)  VOA's Robert Raffaele has the story.

1 defense
