The Capitol Hill appearances of the top U.S. military commander in Iraq and the U.S. Ambassador in Bagdad this week gave the three current White House contenders a focal point - - and on-camera time - - in their elected roles as Senators on the Armed Services and Foreign Relations Committees. And the two Democrats¹, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, continued to scour² Pennsylvania for votes in hopes of derailing each other's campaign momentum³.  VOA's Jeffrey Young has this week's political wrap-up.
