The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has recommends that adults ages 60 and older get vaccinated¹ against shingles². The painful blisters³ of the disease, caused by the same virus as chickenpox, can lead to permanent nerve damage. Now, doctors have some clues about what increases your risk of getting shingles. VOA's Carol Pearson explains.
