Lesson 113 Something Well Begun Is Half Done

 　　Work is a very important¹ part² of life³.
People work in order⁴ to earn⁵ a living⁶. A coun-try can only make progress⁷ if its people work.
It is, therefore⁸, important for us to be hard-working⁹. When we work, there is one goldenrule we should always remember: Somethingwell begun is half done.
   好的开始是成功的一半 
   　　工作是生活中非常重要的一部分。人们为了谋生而工作。一个国家只有在其人民工作下才会进步。因此，努力工作对我们很重要。在工作时，有一则我们必须牢记的金科玉律就是：好的开始是成功的一半。

1 important   

adj.重要的；重大的；严重的

2 part

3 life   

n.生活；生命

4 order   

n.订单；命令；n.顺序，整齐；勋章；阶级，决议；vt.命令； 调整；定购

• You pay for it at the time you order it.订购时就得付款。

5 earn   

v.嫌得；挣得

6 living

7 progress

9 hard-working
