如果A某问B某一个问题，而B某在此时不知道该怎么回答这个问题，有人就会用That's a good question1来回答，来拖延时间，想该怎样回答。
这种口头禅不要过度使用，否则会引起他人反感。例如Honestly，to tell you the truth，basically等等，在口语中建议不要过度使用，不然容易引起他人反感。
That's a good question的应用举例：
假如A同学应该参加学校的某某动员大会，而A同学没去参加，老师碰巧遇见A同学了，说：What are you doing here?
这时，A同学可能想不出该怎么回答，说了句：That's a good question! 来拖延时间。
