小结英语中五花八门的“一堆”说法

集合名詞（英语：Collective noun或者nouns of assemblage）是语言学上的一个专有名词，意指一种可用来指称一群对象的字，而这些对象，可以是人、动物、或是一群概念等事物。举例来说，在英语中，“一群狮子”可称为"a pride of lions"，此时的"pride"就是一个集合名词。
一群小狗：a litter of puppies

yoke2 of oxen（oxen是ox的复数形式）
一群兔子：a nest of rabbits

需要注意的一点是，并不是所有的事物都有相应的collective noun或者nouns of assemblage。例如十支笔，英语里就没有“枝”的说法，只说ten pens。又例如十本书，英语里没有“本”，只是ten books，而两所学校也只是two schools。
