On Sunday night, many WeChat users found in their WeChat Moments news feed an update from a new yet long-awaited friend—advertisement. The news feed ads looks like a regular update from your friends, but with a small "Sponsored" button in the top right corner.
周日晚上，很多微信用户发现他们的微信朋友圈信息流里出现了一个期盼已久的新朋友——广告。信息流广告看起来像是朋友们的普通更新，但其右上角有一个小的“推广”按钮。
信息流广告，可以用news feed ads 表示，信息流即 news feed。Feed本义是“饲料、饲养、(新闻的)广播”等，另外也有“消息来源”的意思，如 syndicated feed、web feed。
与传统广告 (traditional advertising) 不一样，信息流广告是一种依据社交群体属性以及用户喜好和特点进行智能推广的广告形式，最早于2006 年出现在Facebook上，之后 Twitter、Instagram、Pinterest、Vine以及中国的微博、也推出了此种广告。
1月25日晚，微信朋友圈 (WeChat Moments) 来自“微信团队”的首条广告显示形式与其他朋友圈普通信息一样，但右上角多了“推广”(Sponsored)按钮，还提供了“我不感兴趣”(Not Interested)的按钮。据悉，广告推送是基于大数据分析(big data analysis)，每位用户收到的广告并不一样，这引起了网友的热议。有人表示乐观，有人称广告侵犯了隐私(infringe privacy)、影响了用户体验(influence user experience)。
