　　“信托基金”（trust fund）也叫投资基金，是一种“利益共享、风险共担”的集合投资方式。这里trust指信托，如信托财产（trust property）、公益信托（charitable trust）。

　　据悉，该信托基金预计今年下半年启动，旨在加强中国与世界银行集团的合作，撬动资金和知识资源（leverage financial and knowledge-based resources）来帮助发展中国家实现包容性和可持续发展（achieve inclusive and sustainable development）。信托基金将为全球和地区层面（at the global and regional levels）的投资项目（investment projects）、业务、知识开发（knowledge development）和人力资源合作（ human-resources cooperation）提供资助。

　　目前，中国已是世行的第三大股东国，也是国际开发协会（International Development Association，IDA）和全球基础设施基金的重要捐助国之一。
